Dog & Cat Licenses
Dogs and cats in the City of Fort Atkinson are required to be licensed annually, per Local Ordinances and State Statutes.
The licensing period is January 1st - December 31st. You must purchase your license before March 31st to avoid a penalty. Licenses are available for purchase in December for the upcoming year.
Current and valid proof of rabies vaccination is required in order to purchase a license. Proof of alteration may also be required. Cash and check only are accepted, separate from property tax payments.
Animal License Fees
Altered Dogs and Cats $10.00 per animal.
Unaltered Dogs and Cats $15.00 per animal.
Late Fee beginning April 1st is $10.00 per animal.
