It is that time of year again for Direct Sellers. Direct Sellers present themselves door-to-door in residential neighborhoods selling products or goods. Direct Sellers in the City of Fort Atkinson are required to obtain a permit from the City Clerk. The permit is issued following a detailed background check of the applicant performed by the Police Department. Should a Direct Seller visit your residence - please ask to see their City of Fort Atkinson Direct Seller Permit prior to learning of their service. This permit is on cream colored paper, bears the City logo and the City Clerk's inked signature. If they do not have this permit, ask them to leave and contact the Police Department 920-563-7777.
